Our History
All Hands Cultural Community Center, previously know as the East Branch YMCA, was established February 25th, 2019. The Board of Directors of the Metropolitan YMCA voted to donate this facility to All Hands Cultural Community Center. The organizing directors of the community center are James W. Harris, Lucinda L. Kimbel, and Edward G. Downing, Sr.
Upon receiving this donation from the YMCA, it is our intent to change it into a community center and to offer more programs and services. Our purposes are: to create a safe place to gather while providing a venue for the improvement of the community and provide a meeting place for organizations working towards educational, economic and community development.
It is our hearts desire to maintain the history, integrity, and respect for the founders of this facility and its importance in the community of Wichita Falls. The center will be governed by a community board of directors, thereby, making it a vested interest for all people.
